The transformation of the former Blackpool SEAT dealership at Aston Cox's Business Park is nearing completion, with the new Costa Coffee Drive-Thru facility beginning to take shape ahead of its anticipated opening.
The redevelopment marks an exciting addition to Aston Cox's Business Park, which is already home to Blackpool Honda, Blackpool Chery, Blackpool SEAT, Blackpool Automart and North West Honda Super Centre. The arrival of Costa Coffee will bring a new food and beverage offering to the busy business park.
Significant progress has been made on the external works, with the new drive-thru lane now firmly established. Galvanised hoops and kerbs have been installed to define the route, with white road markings set to follow shortly. The drive-thru serving window is also in place, complete with a newly installed steel canopy.
Further improvements include a new steel canopy above the customer entrance doors, located at the gable end of the building, giving the former dealership a fresh appearance as it prepares for its new purpose.
Inside, construction work is also approaching completion. New drainage pipes have been installed within channels cut into the floor, alongside electrical ducting. Internal roof finishing work is progressing well, while a dedicated roller shutter door has been fitted at the rear of the building to provide Costa staff with separate access.
The surrounding grounds are also being enhanced as part of the redevelopment. In line with landscaping plans approved by the local council, seven trees have been planted, alongside a variety of shrubs and grass seed to improve the appearance of the site's perimeter.
With the major structural and internal works now largely complete, the project is moving towards its final stages. The arrival of Costa Coffee will give the former dealership a new lease of life while adding another attraction for customers, visitors and businesses at Aston Cox's Business Park.
